Live Vintage is a phrase my husband recently came up with to describe our life. We've always been ones to love a good flea market or handmade item. The majority of our house is all second hand or hand made, and we wouldn't have it any other way. Recently, my desire to "go back in time" has become so much stronger. Back to a simpler time. A slower time. More time watching your garden grow and produce flowers and veggies. Less time on a phone. More time in the kitchen making meals by hand. Less overly processed, unhealthy, convenient food. Modern technologies and conveniences definitely have their place. There are some things I definitely would not give up (ahem, a real toilet and running water), but I am loving all these vintage skills I am learning lately, and can't wait to pass so many of them onto my kids.
I love the one-of-a-kind feel and the history of vintage items.
